My Angel
Darkness
Falling upon the city
Blankets of clouds forming shadows
In the distance, a crow squaks.
Take me away, my angel!
Over the city and high above the mist.
For no one will see or care
If I miracuously disappeared.
Brightness
Burning the city in heat.
The sun throwing away the clouds
as if they were merely tissues.
Take me away, my angel!
Far from the light of the sun.
For no one will know the difference
If I am among them or not.
Chaos
Drumming the city to death.
Mankind, every which way walking
as if they thought they were gods.
Take me away, my angel!
So I cannot hear the noise of life.
For no one will really protest
My leaving this world for good.
Silence
Caressing my ears at last.
Flying alone with my angel
Finally feeling brilliantly free
Take me away, my angel!
Soar me to the skies with you.
For no one is as special as I
Gliding with self importance.
