Redefined

I saw
the future in your eyes.
I see
it was all a big disguise.
You never saw me
as anything but a pathway.
But now you see
you can never have me that way.

I knew
it was all a game to you.
I know
it's not worth it to push through.

I'm gone
I've left for good.
I'm gone
a better person that's withstood.

And all the things you said to me
will echo in my mind.
As I move on to what matters
my self newly redefined.
